Who is the Incurable Bibliomaniac?

I’m Kim. I’m a twenty-something living in Texas and I sort of like books. Ok, I like them a lot. I have a BA in Art History and MS in Library Science. I mostly read for pleasure, but I’m also trying to read as much as I can so I can become a better writer. This book blog is a bit of an experiment so I can get my writing muscles back in shape while sharing my thoughts about what I read.

What I like:

I read mostly fiction. This includes young adult, fantasy, science fiction, romance, “Chick Lit,” historical fiction, adventure, and whatever else catches my fancy. Occasionally I will read something art history related. Favorite authors include J.K. Rowling, Meg Cabot, Jim Butcher, John Green, Jane Austen, Tamora Pierce, Veronica Roth.

What’s in a Name?

In case you are wondering, I got the idea of this blog’s name from an old library book called The Delights of Reading: Quotes, Notes & Anecdotes. I found an illustration of a woodcut entitled “An incurable bibliomaniac” and thought it sounded cool.
